Strides for Peace’s 5th Annual Race Against Gun Violence, Chicago’s largest athletic event supporting nonprofit organizations working to reduce gun violence in our community.
We offer a full range of on-site, digital and collateral marketing benefits as well as a one-of-a kind experience for civic and employee engagement. Our 2017 Race Against Gun Violence brought together a diverse group of active and passionate individuals representing more than 150 zip codes and over 50 civic, corporate, and nonprofit partners who share the goal of saving lives and building a safer Chicago.
The 2018 Race Against Gun Violence will be held in Grant Park the evening of June 7th. There is a race for every age or level of fitness, featuring USATF-certified 8k and 5k races, as well as a 2 mile walk and Tots for Peace sprint.
The Race Against Gun Violence is a special platform for those who want to bring out the best in their city, which is why in April 2017 the Chicago City Council passed a Resolution in support of the race and the critical need to bring Chicago together to celebrate the life-saving work taking place every day.
