Strides for Peace Supports:

The ARK of St. Sabina

Strides for Peace is proud to support the ARK of St. Sabina, which offers a variety of free services to countless youth and families in the community with the goal of developing each youth holistically, in an effort to help every child reach their full potential.

The ARK staff implements a multifaceted approach to impact youth in the community, as well as members of their families. From education to employment, the ARK offers a vast array of opportunities and programs for youth and young adults ages 6 – 28.

The ARK services over 2,000 youth and families each year through their after school program, summer camp, and outreach events.  These services are provided Monday-Saturday to individuals in the surrounding communities at no cost.

About St. Sabina

St. Sabina is a Catholic church in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood with a faith community that continues to “celebrate history and make history.” Under the leadership of Rev. Michael Pfleger, St. Sabina Church has strengthened its outreach and formed organizations to build up the community in order to promote equality for all people and eliminate injustices in the areas of education, employment, access to housing and food, and community safety.
