West Town Bikes Tour de Fat

Ric Wilson recently won New Belgium Brewing’s Battle of the Bands and a spot on the Chicago Tour de Fat stage on Saturday, July 29. In a close competition, Ric Wilson beat out White Mystery, Lili K and Modern Vices for the honor.
“All four bands wowed the crowd with great sets,” said New Belgium Tour de Fat Brand Manager, Sam Sawyer. “We can’t wait to bring Tour de Fat to Chicago and raise money for West Town Bikes!”
The Roots will headline the stage for the Chicago Tour de Fat stop. In addition to music from The Roots and Ric Wilson, Tim DeLaGhetto is hosting and the mayhem will also include an ensemble cast of artists, performers, vaudeville acts, magicians and comedians.
Costumes are encouraged and everyone 21 and older will be able to enjoy some of New Belgium’s year-round line-up including the American craft beer icon Fat Tire, Voodoo Ranger IPA and Citradelic Tangerine IPA.

4:00 p.m. – Doors Open
4:20 p.m. – FIRE LEOPARD
4:40 p.m. – Fashion Show: Great costumes deserve great admiration. The fashion show is open to all who want to show off their Tour de Fat costume on the catwalk.
5:25 p.m. – Ric Wilson
6:25 p.m. – Slow Ride: Race your fellow Tour de Fat-goers in a bike race where the last person to cross the finish line is the winner. The catch: if you put a foot down, you’re out.
7:00 p.m. – Dance Contest: Here’s your chance to strut your stuff. The winner walks away with a New Belgium cruiser bike!
7:30 p.m. – The Roots
9:00 p.m. – Adios! (curfew)
