Sonya Blakey is an award-winning radio personality, program director and media host with more than 20 years in Chicago radio. She hosts “Sonya Blakey In The Morning” on Inspiration 1390 and “Get Your Praise On” on V103 102.7 FM in Chicago. Her voice is also heard in multiple markets across the country on iHeartMedia’s gospel stations. Under Blakey’s leadership as Program and Music Director of Inspiration 1390, the station has earned Stellar Awards and multiple Marconi Award nominations. Beyond radio, she is active in the community as a speaker, moderator, host, singer and volunteer. Blakey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and describes her mission as enlightening, encouraging and empowering the people she encounters.
