Executive Director, End Community Violence Now (ECVN)
Dr. Lauren J. Footman, EdD is the inaugural Executive Director of End Community Violence Now, where she leads initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence in communities throughout Delaware. A strategic leader and recognized voice in violence prevention, she brings experience across the nonprofit, higher education, corporate, and government sectors and is known for her work engaging diverse communities in policy development, programming, research, and advocacy. Dr. Footman also serves as affiliated faculty in the Department of Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds degrees from Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania and earned her Doctorate in Education from Saint Joseph's University. Her leadership has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal's 40 Under 40, the Philadelphia Tribune's Top 10 Under 40, and Metro Philadelphia's Black Power Players.
