Chloe Gilder

Chloe Gilder is a gun violence survivor, premedical candidate, and aspiring healthcare professional whose personal experience has informed her commitment to medicine and community health. After surviving a gunshot injury, Gilder has used her experience to contribute to conversations surrounding gun violence, health, and the impact of violence on individuals and communities. In 2025, she participated alongside physicians, public-health leaders, elected officials, and violence-prevention advocates in the National Medical Association and Cook County Physicians Association's Community Health and Stop the Bleed initiative in Chicago, where she was recognized as a gunshot survivor pursuing a path toward medicine. Her story brings an important lived-experience perspective to discussions about gun violence prevention, healthcare, recovery, and the role future healthcare professionals can play in creating healthier and safer communities.
